The Research Group Policy, Public Management and Development (GP-PGPD) has acted in the three Research Lines and has been developing activities with emphasis on interdisciplinarity and interinstitutionality (UERGS, UFRGS, FURG, UFPel...) and has been achieving good results regarding publications, organization of traditional events in the academic environment (Tragedy of the Commons, Government of the Commons) and participation with its productions in national brazilian (CIDESP) and international (ALAS, ALACIP, CLAD) congresses.

 

Our next step: internationalisation of our research activities. The GP-PGPD has defined as reference theme: Management and sustainability, due to its relevance to society. At the end of the 20th century, these concepts started to come closer together, as environmental sustainability became part of the image and marketing of organisations, whether public or private. Management, from then on, needed to be sustainable in its different aspects and sustainability, in order to be effective, needs to be managed.
